Today we did absolutely no learning.
Well...
One child baked something and worked out
measurements.
Another spent an hour identifying a bug.
Someone asked why the moon follows our car, which somehow became a full-blown space investigation.
Two children built something in the garden using sticks, string and an alarming amount of mud.
And the twins?
They mainly specialised in destruction.
So no, we didn't sit at desks.
There were no worksheets.
Nobody asked permission to go to the toilet.
But they questioned. Created. Failed. Tried again. Got filthy. Laughed.
And learned without even realising they were learning.
That's the bit I love most about unschooling.
Childhood doesn't have to be preparation for life.
Childhood IS life.
And sometimes education looks less like a workbook...
…and more like six muddy children shouting,
"MUUUUM, COME AND LOOK AT THIS!"
And you know what?
I wouldn't change it. ❤️
